What is your favorite low calorie dinner that you run to when you are very short on time?

  • hmmm...I don't know what "low calorie" means for you but...

1 serving whole wheat pasta (keep it cooked in the fridge) -180 calories
    1 can tuna -100 calories
1 serving marinara sauce -70 calories
1/2 oz mozzarella cheese -40 calories

    Heat and eat...390 calories :)

Lean Cuisine Steak & Portabello Mushrooms = 150 calories :)
  • I started keeping portioned chicken in the fridge (cook one night, cut, portion, bag) and Steamfresh (frozen, microwavable steamed) veggies.

Chuck a back of veggies in the microwave for 5min, heat the chicken for 1 min and BOOM!

Chicken breast sandwich with onions, lettuce, tomato maybe some reduced sugar ketchup. Or chicken breast and a baked potato in the microwave. Quick and easy maybe add in some steamed vegetables to make it complete. Protein shakes are always easy as well use some skim milk to add some carbs and you have a decent meal.

Yum all great ideas! I usually make a tuna sandwich with a large salad or a big bowl of frozen vegetables that I warmed up in the microwave!!! =) Im not real fond of any frozen tv dinners. But I heard some can be good.
