scrambled eggs with water

I was searching the net to find another way to make scramble and not frying it with oil ect.. and this is what i found
scrambled eggs with water in the microwave
In a deep microwave safe bowl mix 1- 2 eggs with 2 tablespoons water and beat well.
Put into the microwave and cook on high for 30 seconds. Stir and cook another 15-30 seconds.
Repeat until the eggs are puffy and nearly finished. A bit of runny egg is okay when you mix it up because when you allow to rest, it will finish cooking.
Allow to rest a few minute and eat them.

I've never heard of scrambled eggs in oil, though I only use nonstick pans because I hate cleaning and am lazy... and the microwave sounds creepy I just put a bit of milk in with some eggs, stir, then pour in a preheated nonstick pan. Milk is a must, however, makes them fluffy!0

I always do mine in the microwave but with a dash of milk, sometimes I add finely chopped onion and a small amount of cheese Yum.0

I scramble my eggs in the frypan and season them but I only use a few sprays of frylight. Fry light is excellent because it only has 1cal per spray in comparison to certain types of butter where 1tsp = 100kcals
Another thing.. I know it is not scrambled eggs but you can buy plastic moulds where you can cook ur egg in the microwave quite quickly for only £1/$0.990 -

my niece (8) cooked herself some scrambled eggs with dried garlic flakes and bratwurst in them when I was staying at my sisters house. They don't use butter, and I call them 'Lily eggs'. My preferred method is with milk, in a saucepan with about 5gm butter and some parsley added at the end.0

One day years ago at a job, somebody made an egg in the microwave at work and it exploded in it. The whole place stunk and the microwave smelled until the day I left (too cheap to get a new one). I don't think I could ever bring myself to try after that experience.0 -

IT was fast. I just put my scramble ina bowl 2 tables spoons water and thats it. I had already ate supper so she grandma try it and said it was yummy. So it was fast and less messI know alot of people may find it odd to scramble them in the microwave,... but i've done it for years. My kids love them. I don't have scrambled eggs often, but when I do, I just scramble them in a stainless steel saucepan with a splash of low fat milk - no butter or oil. It does take some scrubbing to clean the pan afterwards, though, which is one reason I don't have them often!
I've tried them in the microwave a couple of times - much less cleaning, but they came out rubbery.0 -
Hun just spray a microwave safe bowl with pam spray scramble the eggs and cook in microwave one minute per egg stop during cooking time and beat them some more and then finish cooking.0

You can also add some low sodium or reg stock to a pan and they come out great if you want to avoid the butter/oil. When I don't have any hard boiled eggs and I want a quick snack I will microwave them as well - I just roll a little water around the bottom of a cup and then dump it and then scramble my egg in the cup and pop it in the microwave. I have exploded eggs this way so I would recommend microwaving in short intervals :-)!0

You can't just microwave an eqq with the yolk intact. They have to be stirred or the yolk will explode. It's not pretty when it happens:)0 -

I do this for my son in the morning. Throw an egg in a coffee cup with a lil bit of milk and cheese. Put a paper towl over it and cook.

Scrambled eggs won't explode unless they are cooked too long. Eggs won't get rubbery unless they are cooked too long. Eggs will remain fluffy with water, the same as they do with milk (less calories/carbs). The cooking time varies depending on your wattage of microwave, but generally around 45-60 seconds for 2. Stir again and add another 20-30 seconds. Top with cheese, salsa, or whatever and you have a FAST breakfast.
I raise chickens and am always using eggs for something, so I have loads of experience with the microwave. The only reason I would use a pan was if I wanted to have to scrub something clean (and I do NOT want that).
There are now "eggies" available to cook whole eggs in. I've not used them, but supposedly you can crack an egg in it, microwave it and it comes out hard boiled. Saw them at Wally world for around $5.0 -

I LOVE her egg mugs. They are fabulous and keep me full for hours. My favorite one is the all-american mug.
1/2 cup eggbeaters
1 slice cheese
1 tbsp lite pancake syrup
1 turkey or veggie sausage patty.
I always microwave my eggs/eggbeaters for 40 seconds, stir, 30 seconds, check and stir if necessary, add cheese and put back in for 15 - 20 seconds. If you put laughing cow cheese in your eggs you should do it when you start the microwaving process.
I always thought it was odd to microwave eggs but I do it all the time now.0 -
I do this without water and it works fine. Just be careful because different microwaves have different settings and the eggs can easily explode if you over cook them.0

If you get a good nonstick pan, you don't even need to use any spray, just have the eggs room temperature and your pan pre-heated. Also, using water instead of milk is actually preferred by chefs, as it makes the eggs lighter and fluffier. (I learned the water thing years ago in actual cooking classes re making omelets.) Not only have you saved some calories re the spray, butter or oil, but from the milk as well! I'm all about saving small numbers where it's not necessary.0
