Do I get the same benefit from walking a mile in the morning and a mile at night, as I would if I walked two miles all at once?

my research says yes. In fact, what I've read suggests that breaking up your activity throughout the day helps keep your metabolism working, so you actually burn more calories

^What she said, though I'll be watching to see if anyone has info to dispute that. If you can fit it in, it's better to split up workouts. So I've heard.

Whatever will get you to actually do it! If you'll only do it in one swoop, that's better than intending to do it in two

You can break up your walk into as many parts as you choose, it does not matter. Some people walk 10 minutes- 3/4/5 times a day to get their walk in.

so long as you get your heart rate up each time it should be fine.
