I have been dieting for 2 weeks now, exercising nearly everyday, taking in around 1300 calories a day and i haven't lost a single gram! Nor have i lost any inches. This is so frustrating because i have been so diligent making sure i'm doing all the 'right things' and i have never managed to eat so healthily in my life but still no results!
Anyone have any advice to kickstart the weightloss? I still can't exercise vigorously for another 2 weeks as i had a baby 4 weeks ago. Could this have something to do with it?

Well sadly, this has been the same case for me to and it is soooooooo frustrating and makes me think what's the point! you eat well exercise hard and no results!
So you're not the only one!

If anyone also has any tips and advice please help us :)
  • Don't worry, it'll come. Just keep doing what you do and just watch your results show :)
Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you have built up a little bit of muscle, it could make it look like you haven't lost any fat when you might have lost more than you think.
Also, if you think that that isn't the case either, try really increasing the intensity of your workout - go for high rep ranges with little rest and make sure you can feel the pump as you workout

    Good luck!

Are you eating frequently enough to keep your metabolism up? If you don't eat AT LEAST every 4 hours, your body won't let go of fat. Also make sure you're eating enough. Maybe you need a bit more than 1300 calories. Are you breastfeeding? If so then you definitely need more calories. Stick with it. It took me a couple weeks to start seeing any change. I hope you see results soon!
  • I'm sure it has alot to do with it. Give yourself some time, before you know it, it will be coming off, are you breastfeeding? Your body needs time to heal after having a baby and it takes time for your hormones to get use to just you now and not you and your baby. Be patient and just keep doing what you are doing you will see a change.

By looking at your diary, I can see that you aren't really burning that many calories in exercise, which isn't a huge thing when you are first starting out, but you also aren't drinking any water. Or you aren't logging your water. You had a huge day over, and I commend you for recording it, but you need to keep your calories where MFP put them (net) for you to lose the amount of weight you inputted. Good luck. It will happen!

exercise plays a big part. If you cannot get your heart rate high enough, then that slows down your calorie burn. Best tips I have gotten have been....

    1. Drink lots of water 8-10 a day

    2. eat 5-6 small meals

    3. count your calories in and out

    4. heart rate is key to optimal calorie burn (when your able)

    5. confuse your body, change your workouts every week or two.

    6. 60-70% cardio, 30-40 % strength, less weights with more repititions...yeah muscle weighs more than fat, but it also burns fat faster.

Good luck!! Hope that helps some :)

If you are breastfeeding, you aren't eating nearly enough calories! That's likely why you aren't losing. Plus you are decreasing your milk production. Eat more.

I was on a plateau for 8 weeks, but giving up was not what I was going to do!

Remember you are doing this for you, to feel good, look good, and be healthy.

    Don't give up.

    You can do this!

wow. two whole weeks. that's like... fourteen whole days.

My point is things don't change over night. maybe you aren't eating ENOUGH. Are you exercising? Or... it could be those two whole weeks you've been at this.
