Help you what? Lose weight? Sure it will! 5 or so years ago I lost over 30 lbs using Jenny Craig. Easy to do when you eat only their food and fruits n veggies. Long term success? Zilch. At that time, I didn't know HOW to eat properly unless it was being handed to me. The foods are also high in sodium usually.
Eventually you're going to need to know how to prepare healthy foods for yourself. I'd suggest starting with that now, instead of the pre-packaged food. Otherwise, when you go off the pre-packaged you may gain it all back.
I've learned that you need to overhaul your eating for long term success.0 -
well i don't eat like **** right now... i just think it would help motivate me to eat even better as well as make my appetite smaller and educate me on the types of food i should be eating.0

Seriously.. Fruits, Veggies, Lean Protein, Full/low/no carb depending on your preference, and whatever else you feel like in moderation.
No need to spend thousands to figure that out.0 -

I'd suggest making an appointment with a nutritionist. If you have insurance, they may cover some of the visits. That will give you a foundation of knowing WHAT you are eating, what to look for.
Other suggestions include taking a basic cooking class. If there is a community college nearby or even major university they may have evening programs for adults on such topics.
Go to your local bookstore/library and read some of the many books on nutrition. Find what works for you that isn't a "diet" per say. Healthy eating (within calories) + exercise = weight loss.0 -

there is a ton of information out there that will educate you on the types of foods that you should eat...without requiring you to buy their own expensive products. the eating concepts I follow most closely are those in Kim Lyons' 5 simple keys to fat loss program. I think it cost me $47 (I didn't purchase the personal coaching option that was offered).. It was pretty simple reading and it includes 2 essential pages that basically outline how to structure your meals with recommended and ideal food choices.
there are also some free options on the internet and at your public library.
anyway, if all you're looking for is information on how to eat better, you don't have to spend a ton of money.

I just left Nutrisystem. First....very $$$ by the time you do that and get the grocery store add-ins. Second, it's not by any means healthy....reading the labels. I enjoy REAL food and stay motivated with new recipes, ideas, etc from here.
I did lose weight with Nutrisystem, but it is shelf stable food. Some of the tomato based products all taste the same. The are small small portions, so I guess I did learn portion control, but then most of it didn't taste good enough for me to want seconds either.
That being said, they did have a couple things that I enjoyed that I order ala carte. I don't use them as a staple in my diet, but just for conveinence purposes.
My advise....EAT REAL FOOD and save your $$$.0
