Has anyone ever worn their HRM while swimming laps? Mine says it is water proof but I am not sure if that is too long submerged in water. I would like to see if I can get an accurate count while doing laps while we are away this weekend. If not I will use the calculations on here....just thought I would ask.

I know the Polar brand says not to wear it in chlorinated water or salt water.0

I wear mine while swimming all the time.
Edit: It's a Polar0 -
I have an old model of polar, can't recall what model, but it's about 5 years old. I've worn mine in the pool many times and it still works fine.0

I had the same question this summer, so I emailed customer support and called them as well. Both times, they said it will work for swimming. I used my HRM all summer long with great results. It takes a second to get it started, BUT it works! best wishes!0
