I've been losing weight at a nice clip... no plateaus! yay

But somehow I'm still not happy with my appearance or feel comfortable. Sooo.. I decided maybe it is because I have been neglecting myself outside of diet and exercise. I decided it was time for new, clothes, new makeup, and new contacts / glasses and other accessories. ( unfortunately not all at the same time $$$ but wouldn't it be nice! a make-over weekend! )

I read somewhere that some women feel that they don't deserve to have new clothes etc or be comfortable in clothes that fit until they reach their goal weight and how that can actually make the weight loss journey less rewarding and more difficult.

So... don't neglect yourself like I did! Go out there and buy a bra or two and panties that actually fit you now and don't go without vision correction its amazing how these two things will help to make you more comfortable in your own skin no matter where you are on your journey to a new you. :flowerforyou:

This is a VERY good point. I have some ideas........My girlfriends and I have a date planned for next month to have a girl come in and do facials and makeup for us......a girls day....should be really fun...and then there is a thing we all used to do, but since we are apart its tough.....

We have a good will party......each girl brings clothes they are tired of, or clothes that are to big or too small.....we had big garbage bags full. And each of us traded clothes around....for instance Jill has these jeans that I loved, but couldn't get into or get them from her....she loved this shiny top I was too small for now.......we traded, then Annie so happened to have a top that would look adorable with the jeans, so we just basically swapped around....it was fun, add some natural margaritas and boom you have a great day with the girls and some new clothes to try....we did this at least 2 times a year.

Also, my sister and I are often the same size, she is usually a size smaller...well as I start to get smaller she gets smaller and we graduate the "big girl clothes" she gets hand me downs from her girls, I get mine from her and mine go to the good will party!

    Just an idea

But yes we have to care for ourselves and celebrate even 1 pound!

    GO GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi

Well, I've never felt that way...LOL
I bought clothes in smaller sizes as I lost weight I just tried ot get inexpensive stuff on sale (KHOLS or outlet stores)
It still irks me a little that I bought a few cute tops and only got to wear them 1-2x...but I prefer to be a smaller size :)

Take care of yourself...u deserve it
    Great job!
