I started the low carb diet last week and I'm feeling great. I am at a loss of how to get my calcium. Anyone on this diet too have any idea? I ate low fat cottage cheese today even though I hate it.:smile:

    all diets work the same, a caloric deficit. so i wouldn't adhere to some diet where i was eating foods i didn't like, such as in your case cottage cheese (which i thought dairy wasn't allowed in the slow carb diet, but i may be mistaken)

    Greek Yogurt...cottage cheese...Supplements....Calcium is in your veggies as well...Some have more then others, if I understand that correctly....

    @ ACG It said you can have cottage cheese on the diet in the book that I am reading. I dont think calories all burn the same. My doctor says it depends on how your body digests it.

    @Solomonre0 Thanks that helps alot.

    There is calcium in many different foods. And if you don't like cottage cheese, don't eat it.

    Other cheeses besides cottage cheese are low carb, aren't they. Also, most dark leafy greens and broccoli have calcium. As does soy and almonds. There are others as well. Google it.

    When I saw the subject I thought this was going to be about a diet based on slow digesting carbs, but I guess it's just a typo. Too bad, I would find a slow carb diet very interesting.
