NSV #1: OK, last week I put several pairs of jeans in the donation pile that were too big and were looking really sloppy on me. So I pulled out a pair that had been too tight to wear. Wow, the too-tights are too-big. I missed the opportunity to wear 'em but I don't give a rip. I've got a couldn't even pull on pair that I can wear around the house now. Yippee. Too tight to wear in public yet but it's only a matter of time.

NSV #2: My fitness levels are improving all the time but, today, I could do something I haven't been able to do for a long time. I had a severe back injury a few years back and the last few months is the first I've been able to exercise beyond walking without having to do a ridiculous amount of modifications to protect my back to the point where it made most exercises difficult and frustrating to do. Since the beginning of August, I have been doing various strength training and cardio, now with only slight modifications. Anyway....today, I could lift an entire case (24 cans) of dog food without it hurting my back. I know that might sound like a small thing to most of you but, for me, this is huge.

Scale Victory #1: I am now officially at my lowest weight since about 18 years ago. At that time, I had gone on Medifast to lose weight and after I could no longer stand it and went off it, I promptly gained back all I had lost plus about 20 more pounds. The fact that I've done it gradually, in a healthy manner, with a combination of diet and exercise makes hitting this weight goal even sweeter.

Scale Victory #2: My BMI is no longer in the obese range, just in the overweight category. Yup, still the upper-end of that, but still. This is thrilling.

Just had to share. MFP has been a huge help since joining in August and 15# ago. I love this site and the people here are so helpful and inspiring. I hope my little victories are inspiring to any of you who might need a boost.
