Right, off to Westfield in London today (for US...it's a huge shopping mall). had an awful binge weekend so styarted the day well today and been 'normal', got my protein shake mixed ready to take with me along with some almonds and other healthy snacks.

Problem is, Westfield is full of temptation, the nut hut...choc coated bits, SNOG frozen yoghurts and a massive foodhall.

I really don't know what to get for lunch up there?! I don't just want to have a boring salad. There is a mexican place so was actually thinking an open burrito with chicken, beans, veggies but no tortilla.

Any ideas from those of you who know it?

I've never been there (although I want to!!)

They must have a subway though, which is reasonable - if you're not fussed about sodium (most food places will be high in sodium though) The mexican place sounds good too :)

The best thing would probably be to plan a set time to go for lunch and stick to it, don't give in to temptation elsewhere and stick to the other shops in the meantime! If you bring healthy snacks it shouldn't be too much of a problem. You don't have to just get a salad just something that's not the worst choice you could make. Planning ahead makes things alot better so have a look online at the food places they have and choose one in advance, preferably one that gives you their nutrition. Also, if you don't get home that late you could always exercise off any extra calories you had.

To be fair there is a great salad place there called 'Tossed'...think i'll go there and have a huge salad with lots of protein...and no sodium!!! Instead of eating crap i'll 'treat myself to low fat yoghurt from SNOG! Lots of water today!!

    Sorted!

Jealous of you going there, heard about it.

Great idea about bringing snacks with you, eating a huge healthy salad. Just be good and treat yourself to something nice at the end of the day. You getting anything in particular there???

Lots of walking around should help burn off any extra calories accidentally consumed LOL

My sister went to Westfield the day it opened, and it was manic!

I have Lakeside shopping centre less than 7 minutes walk away from me, so it's like my corner store!

Bloody love lakeside!!! Love the free parking there too!! Miss my mate living in Romford!!! lol.
  • Which Westfield are you going to, the White City one or the Stratford one?

I worked on the Look show in the Stratford one the first Saturday it opened and it was SO unbelieveably busy, there was such a crush of people that there were men in hi-vis jackets directing the flow of people! It was insane.

Beware of the people handing out tasters! When I was there I kept getting offered pretzel samples, a few of those could really throw out your calories for the day.
