Cross Trainer

I have been recovering from a foot injury (tendon & ligament damage) and just been told by my physio that I could start to build up my legs and ankle muscles doing something low impact like a exercise bike or cross trainer.

I have managed to source a cross trainer but am wondering how long I should do on it to start with bearing in mind that I have not been able to exercise at all since the begining of August. My physio just said see how I go (which is a big help).

I managed to do 15mins last night without stopping but was sweating buckets and bright red like a turkey lol.

I am wondering if I should stick to 15 mins for the first couple of weeks or lower it to 10mins a day for first two weeks then build up?

Any advice is grateful.

ehrn I first got on my cross trainer I was struggling to do ten mins but added a minute on every time. I'd stick with 15 mins and see how you injury goes with that and build.
