I have been questioning getting this for my dog for awhile now. I have read how it works and it makes a lot of sense. With my upcoming move and my dog being very upset by this, I thought this might help ease him a bit. Does anyone have a thundershirt for their dog? Does it work?

I would like to know too. My dog suffers from terrible separation anxiety. We're working on a program from a trainer with him to try to help him. It's going to be a long road though.0

My sister has one for her dog and it seemed to work very well for storms, long car trips, etc. I would say it is definitely worth trying!0

As my dogs have gotten older, they are more afraid of thunderstorms now. I've been seriously considering the Thundershirt, but I also saw this one referenced: https://anxietywrap.com/default.aspx. I don't know how they compare in costs, but they are similar concepts.
Let us know what you decide!0 -
We have three dogs and got it to calm one down.
We use it sometimes and it seems to work. I believe mostly because it distracts them and they feel like they are being held.
I can't say its worth the money, but I can't say its not.0 -
Hello,
I am a business owner in the pet industry. I personally do not own one for my dogs but have several clients who owns them and loves them. They seem to help with separation anxiety, and with thunder storms etc. So I would say, yes, its worth a try. Good luck with the move0 -
you can use a stretchy bandage to wrap a dog
and also I use rescue remedy
when my ex racing grey first came to live with us we had new year fireworks he stood with his head pushed into the corner of the room - shaking - he also wet himself
It was suggested I use rescue remedy - from then on no real problems - he doesnt like them but he is no where near as scared as he was
just rub one spray of rr onto the inside of the ear flap and rub it in
use as required - start now and dont try spraying it in the mouth - you wont want to be near the sharp end of a very scared dog0 -
oh forgot its t touch wrapping - if you google it you can see examples0

I wonder if this works on people.

I got this for my older dog as she's become sensitized to storms. For her it did not work, but I think it is because of her fur. She is a mix bread that is very fluffy. I really couldn't get it to be snug on her because she had so much fur. We just gave in and moved furniture around so she could hide behind the couch during storms the poor thing.0
