    a) W7D1 completed...Not! I ran a whopping 15 min :ohwell: I couldn't do it due to severe hip cramps. I was in the zone, ready to see it through, but my hip had other plans. I tried to run through the pain, but that didn't seem too smart.
    b) I'm icing my hip now and did some stretches
    c) I'll try again tomorrow, if my hip allows

    W7d1: completed at speed 5
I think running for 15 minutes yesterday helped a lot.
My shoulders did better, i took advil all day and 20 mins. Before running my husband rubbed biofreeze on my shoulders.
I have a strong feeling that a lot of my problem was the fact that my two boys were playing with the treadmill two wkends ago with their matchbox cars and raised the incline to 2.5. I never figured this out till tonight!

Good luck and smiles to all:wink:

    a) W7D1 completed, it took every ounce of my being to get through it!!
    b) It was like I was starting from scratch, like I've never jogged in my life. I was so relieved to look down to see 1 min remaining!!
    c) I just want to get through the week. I plan on skipping tomorrow though, I need a rest.

I treated myself to the steam room and jacuzzi afterward, which was the best part of the workout.

WTG ladies for getting it done!!

We should! I did it for 28 days and then gave up. It would be nice to try it again. :)

I'm hoping I can fit in a run tomorrow! Finger's crossed.
  • I was wondering if I should buy the 30D dvd. I want to keep up with whatever challenge everybody else does; the support has been an excellent motivation for me !!! I do plan on continuing with the running; I really want to improve on it and participate in some 5K's. However, as the bad weather approaches it would also be nice to have something that I can do at home as well since I go to the Y to use the treadmill. I guess that I'm saying that I'm in with whatever everybody else decides they want to do. It's always hard for me to stay motivated through the winter so I'll take what I can get!!

Bry, you were sooooo close with 30DS! So...are the workouts daily for 30 days straight, or do you break in-between? Good luck with the run tomorrow!!

Ok, I'll order the DVD. I'll continue to challenge myself with the running (maybe one per week), but I'd like to focus on getting through the 30DS too. I don't want to get too overwhelmed with the workouts.

    Haha, I know!

I did it 30 days straight with no breaks. But lots of people do breaks. Apparently Jillian Michaels recommends having the weekend as a break, so doing it 5 times a week.

    b) I was distracted because I had my son with me. I tried to get him to do what I was doing, but he doesn't have the attention span for a 25 minute jog! Being preoccupied with him did seem to make time go faster though. :)
    c) Next time I'm going alone. I'm taking Thursday and Friday off, and I plan to tackle day 3 on Saturday.

    a. W6D3 done! :D
    b. The run was good, I changed my route and ran around a part of the park I never run through. I ran past lakes, I ran past the zoo and saw some animals, I saw swans. It was a lovely run! It was a better distraction and so the run went fast.
    c. Hopefully to fit in week 7 day 1 either Saturday or Sunday.
