  • I have done this and you will lose weight, but it is not healthy in my opinion. I became extremely lethargic and my potassium bottomed out because I got dehydrated even though I drank 10-12 glasses of water each day. I think it is a gimmic. If you want to clean excess fecal matter out of your body you should eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables or use a fiber substitute. Personally, I use the Splenda with fiber packets on a daily basis, because it's hard to consume fresh fruits and veggies all the time.
  • The only time you should "Clean the Pipes" is when a doctor prescribes it for a colonoscopy!

Are you talking colonics or a cleanse? I have done a few cleanses and they actually help with a few things. They cut sugar cravings and if nothing else, my skin is very clear and soft afterwards. I feel invigorated on it as well. I have used the Thisilyn cleanse which is good for your liver. It is all natural herbs in it

As for colonics, never tried it. I'm not into having a hose up my butt

Your body was designed to work it's own cleansing. Even if you don't "go" everyday you are not building up all the toxins these ads say you are. They are money makers for the companies and that is all.

Eat healthy, get enough fiber from whole grains, vegetables, fruits. And stay hydrated, drinking plenty of water to keep everything moving.

We are all different though and not going everyday is ok. Unless you feel constipated. Then you may have to make adjustments in your diet.

So my advice is to save your money and buy healthy foods with it. And get the enjoyment out of eating things that are good for you.
