So this morning, I casually mention that I need to switch to sugar free creamer, rather than the fat free cream, and my 12-year old daughter says to me: "When does it say you will lose your next pound?" When I told her I had to actually get on the scale to find that out, she was surprised. She thought because the site keeps track of calories, it will automatically keep track of my weight loss. HA! I wish!

Yeah, it takes a guess at the end of each day "if every day were like today, you'd weigh...".. but I don't know how accurate that is. I've considered pre-logging though

when my daughter was little (and before i become serious about losing weight) she came up and gave me a hug and was like "oh, mom, i'm so proud you have lost weight!".

i was confused and asked her why she thought that...

her reply? i can get my arms around you...

as she grew, her arms had gotten longer...not me skinnier...lol...i couldn't bring myself to take away how happy she was for me...

She is very smart. MFP does tell us what will happen in 5 weeks from now if we continue doing what we did today.

    LOVE IT!!!

My 8 year old had a bowl of cereal for breakfast one morning and my 10 year old told him, "you can't eat that." He asks why of course and she says to him, "because it's full of sugar and carbs and you'll get FAT!" He was completely mortified about his poor little bowl of cereal.

I keep a spreadsheet separate from MFP, and I have a column for my projected weight loss. That way I can see where I should be by what date...

That is just too cute! Yeah, after I was dating my daughter's father for awhile, she noticed our standing near each other and said to me, "wow, you are so small!" I loved hearing that, so I didn't let her know it was only cause I was standing next to her Dad who is 6'4" and 240 lbs. Hehehehe

Do you ever find yourself stomping on the scale to make sure it's reading correctly? LOL

I do this! I'll lift it up with my foot and drop it... probably not a good thing to do, but it's irritating sometimes. Digital scales can be so finicky and I swear mine has a memory and "tries" to just show me what I was yesterday...

I wake up and feel thinner, look forward to the scale, only to find it's the same as yesterday, or a few ounces higher! So I start analyzing what is different: naked, toe rings off, ear rings off, does it matter if my hair is curly or straight today, wet hair or dry hair, shaved legs.... ha! Isn't it funny how our brains work the scale?
