Besides, eating nutritious foods gives you more than a lean body...calorie deficit might be "all" you need to lean out, but don't we all want our bodies to be healthy?

As women, we are wired a little different than men when it comes to abs, and the lower belly pooch. Eating clean has DEFINITELY made a difference in my ab definition. When I'm eating fatty foods, that's usually when the flab comes back. Good luck to ya!
Seems to be that way for me too! I can be in a calorie deficit for a month, but if the foods I choose are not "clean" so to speak, I end up bloated. It may not be fat, but water weight gain causing my lower abs to be poofy will never allow a 6 pack to shine through.

Exactly. I think women are just wired a little differently with the whole lower belly thing. I've noticed that women who don't eat clean get down to their goal weight, but look flabby still. Not hating, just saying what I've observed ("flabby" in comparison to woman who eat clean).0 -

Yep! Tha'ts why I said "I've noticed' and "just saying what I've observed."
Good luck to ya, OP!

There was a study done once. A guy ate 1800 calories a day of twinkies, hohos, dohnuts and a lot of other crap-and he stil lost weight every week. It's all about the calories...0
