TOPIC: DIY 100 Calorie Snack Ideas - UK

Options
Just seen this topic for the US and thought it was a good one - but shall we start off our own so we have a list of things we can buy in the UK?

I've only got a few but hopefully we can add to it!:

Small Banana
75g Co-op Fruit and Nut mix
150g Total 0% Greek Yoghurt with a teaspoon of honey

For an occasional sugary treat, I love Kellogs fruit winders http://www.kelloggs.co.uk/products/fruitwinders/Snack/fruit_winders__strawberry___blackcurrant.aspx. Of course, you wouldn't call them healthy, but they're under 70 calories, so they're a great way to satisfy my sweet tooth without being too naughty.

I also like yoghurt's. Muller Light is under 100 calories a pot, and Weight Watchers have a range of yoghurt's that are around the 50 calorie mark (and they're currently on offer in Tesco if you want to try them). Cup-a-soups are nice too. The standard ones are around the 100 calorie mark, or their low calorie "slim-a-soups" are around 50 calories. And 5 Ritz crackers with 20g of Tesco extra light soft cheese (other supermarkets do virtually identical products) comes in at 103 calories, or 2 Jacob's cream crackers and 30g of the soft cheese is 102 calories. I know those are slightly over 100, but only by a couple of calories.

I actually tried these, but they are just far too watery for my taste :(

All fun size choccie bars are between 60-90 cals. Great for when you want something sweet, and 125-200 cals less than a full size bar! :D

The pots thicken up a bit in the fridge, I never have a problem with the granules though.

They do the job for me :) xx

I'm "collecting" 100cal snack ideas on a spreadsheet - and now have a few more to add, thanks peeps!

    Here are my favourites..........

Whitworth's 35g dried fruit snack packs (apricots/pineapple/mango) are each about 80/125cals a pack - and currently in Tescos at 3 for £1.

5 Crespo pitted green olives 20 cals
Fun size (20g) Mars Bars @ 78cals (keep them in your freezer!)
Tesco Maple Syrup Granola Bars (2bars in a pack) are 100cals EACH
    SnackaJacks (Caramel) 51cals
    Muller Lite Toffee Yoghurt 91cals
    Panda Licorice 32g Bar 100cals
Hard Boiled Egg 80cals AND Ryvita Crackerbread 20cals
    Chedder cheese (25g) is 102g
Kellogs Golden Crunch (25g) is 102cals (without milk)

Hmmmm - getting a snack attack now...........

ETA: MAGNER'S IRISH PEAR CIDER 175ml (wine glass) is only 90cals....hmmmm

I really dislike the jelly pots, but i learnt a really tasty recipe at slimming world for the jelly granules.

    Ingredients
1 hartleys raspberry sugar free jelly granules
2 raspberry and cranberry muller light

    1. Make the jelly up with half the recomended water leave to cool (not to set)

    2. Stir in the muller light

    3. Leave to set

I used to find this recipe made 3 yoghurts sized pots - So about 60-70 cals per pot and delicious!

You could make all different flavours and also add fresh fruit! I made this one as i dont like bits in yoghurts!

High demand for more muller light smooth flavours from me!

Infact i havent made this up since leaving SW (got so far and then came to a holt in weight loss) so im having some tonight!!

I've got another - but it's not healthy! Just found that the OH's Porky White pork chipolatas have 89 cals per sausage. Needless to say, one is now missing :-)
