Okay.....so my six year old son and I took out the Wii Fit we got for Christmas and decided to try it out. Well...we played it for over an hour and then got DH involved in our games too. We all played for another hour and hardly even felt like we were working out. We are all competitive, so we just kept trying to beat each others top scores. It was a blast and I highly recommend it to anyone, but it is a must have for families. I worked off over 500 calories with just having fun!!!

PS Our six year old is the only one in the house not in the over-weight catagory.:grumble:

Good for you! I've been wanting to get one for the same reason. My boys would LOVE to workout with me, but they don't really "get" kickboxing just yet.

My son is planning on getting one when he get his income tax refund. I'm so excited because he lives with me which means I'll get to use it too.

We love the wii fit too, don't you love the way they portray your character..lol
My kids are all these skinny little stick people and then my husband and I are these
    round out of shape people...lol
I can't wait for it to read normal and have a skinny stick person.

Oh ya don't you love when you stand on the balance board and it goes "oohhh"
like it's a surprise someone heavy is standing on it..lol

That's one of the best things about it. My boys (3 and 6) can do most of the stuff and we have a great time doing it.

I have a friend of a friend who was so offended by her Wii figure that she gave away her Wii Fit and never did it again. Can you imagine?!?!?!

I tried the weight lifting section first and I found it boring so I suggest you go right the the areobics part. You'll have lots of fun.
  • We love our Wii Fit! The "ohhhhh" when you stand on it just makes me laugh...which burns more calories. It made me fat too...I felt sad for about 2 seconds then realized it may be the best motivator to get in shape. I'm definately one of those people that think I look better than I do until I see a picture of myself....so yeah, it's definately motivation! So much fun!!!!
  • Here is the continuing story...... My brothers and Dad came for a visit, and we all played on the Wii fit for five hours. They all just loved it and were feeling good about having worked out too. It's great fun for all ages...listen to me....I sound like a commercial!

LOL... maybe your friend of a friend needs to take a hint. I laughed so hard when my "Mii" blew up like a round little beach ball I couldn't breathe. Hehe... makes me giggle just thinking about it.

Carla... I totally know what you mean. I have a serious delusion about what I actually look like compared to what I think I look like. You know how they say most anorexic people have this misconstrued idea that they are super fat? I have the complete opposite of that ROFL. And while that may be good for my self esteem and my psyche.... I don't think it's so good for my heart or joints. LOL.
