Cardiologist insisted on reducing sodium intake. Blood pressure (BP) was up in the 145/90 vicinity with paternal family history of coronary artery disease resulting in death. Using MFP the last 3+ weeks, I've dropped 6.5 lbs. Combined with what I'd done previously, that makes 12 lbs in the last 6 weeks. BP last week was 120/75. Thanks to MFP, in conjunction with 2-3x a week tennis and 1x a week in the gym with a personal trainer, I've been able to faithfully control sodium and calorie intake, resulting in a significant drop in weight and blood pressure.

Congratulations! Thank you so much for sharing this story. My hubby has high blood pressure and I'm constantly telling him about sodium and his diet period. Your post has given me some motivation to try and convince him again this weekend. Have a blessed day!
