I took my first rest day yesterday after 30 days of walking everyday. I was sore, back was hurting and just couldn´t get out there to hit the pavement. I feel great today. Any thoughts?

    That's really good.

Rest days are important. This was an excellent thing for you to learn.

I rest 164 hours a week. Give or take a bit.
  • Good for you!
Rest days are important and we need to take them now and then.
Taking care of yourself ( work hard, play hard, and rest well ) is KEY.

    Keep pushing forward...

rest and recovery days are as important, maybe more so, than the work days. you should probably plan a rest and recovery day at least once a week (twice a week once you start doing more high impact exercise).

    Any thoughts?

    What was the question?
  • I rest one day a week (usually Fridays, but I'll move it if I have a busy night/day somewhere else in the week). Not only is it important for your body to get some recuperation, but it's important for your sanity, as well! ;)
