I came across this site http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc and found that walking 3mph there was calculating 90 calories burned, not the 79 that MFP shows. So far this site has been working great, so just in case you want to double check something that is NOT listed on MFP, this site has pretty much everything.

The only real way in knowing how many calories you burn by exercising is to invest in a heart rate monitor. Every body is different in age, height, and weight. So what someone may burn doing the same exercise as another is not going to equal the same amount of calories burned for both people.

I used the Body Fat calculator and it gave me 4 different measurements varying by 7.75 %. It said these were not as good as water displacement but usually within 1 - 3 % for most people. How could they all be within 1 - 3 % with a variance of 7.75??

As with everything, bear in mind these are all estimates. The difference between 79 and 90 is miniscule (what time period was that for? What weight person?) And what if you don't walk at EXCATLY 3mph the whoel time?

I put in my weight and the time I typically use an elliptical. It estimated almost exactly 50% more than my actual typical burn. *shrug*
