I use my HRM every day and it works great but for some reason today, it wasnt counting my calories right. It said I burned like 20 calories after running for 20 minutes (which I know I burn around 115 calories running for 20 minutes). The time and everything else was right. Could the battery in the chest strap be dieing?? I'm not sure what to do! Thanks!

Unless it continues to be a problem, my guess is that the chest strap monitor patches probably weren't sitting flat on your skin. That's happened to me before.

probably the battery. also, make sure to adjust the weight that is entered in your HRM memory.

I wash my chest strap band with mild soap and thoroughly rinse it and this seems to help every time. I also have changed the battery in the strap and seem to have to do it more than the watch!

take the strap in the shower with you and let the water run over it then hang it up to dry. Don't let the hard part where the sensor is stay too long under water, though.

It should be back up to par the next time you use it.

I've had this happened to me before and when I did this, it worked just like new.
