I'm going to the gym at lunchtime today for the first time. Not sure I planned meals and how much time it will take correctly. Wondering if anyone who does this regularly has suggestions?

I went and loved having the "break" in my day and would like to try to make this a habit. Still wondering if anyone has tips for being more efficient post-workout in the locker room though?

I exercise over lunch every day :) I'm grateful for a flexible work schedule, though, and I know not everyone has that.

I typically go walk/jog around a 2 mile loop while on my lunch; sometimes doing it twice. The other Admin goes to the gym every day and works out with a trainer (think body builder), but I haven't been brave enough to go to the gym, yet and try the weights. On the days that I don't go walk I can barely stay awake the rest of the afternoon. It's true that during the summer when it was 102* when I was getting through with my walk, I was extremely sweaty and it would take a little bit to cool down, but the guys I work with were still encouraging me to go, but to be careful that I didn't overheat!

Now that cooler weather is coming, I'm worried that I won't be able to keep up the outdoor walking. Which, granted, I never would have thought I would make it this summer and that's with our highs being over 100* for close to 115 days in a row!

Keep it up, you'll really find it's addicting.

PS--If you want you can add me as a friend for lunchtime workout encouragement.

    Thanks guys!

I usually walk during my lunchtime too, so this is taking it up a notch. I've just got a lot of other things going on lately so finding time before or after work for exercise is getting harder. Plus, I'll still take my dog for walks, but I'm not sure how I'll continue running on the roads once it gets cold... and then icy!

I was talking with one of the Agents here at work today and I am really thinking that I may go ahead and join the gym. I want to change up my routine, which is currently just walking/jogging for 2-4 miles at least 4 days a week. With two jobs and three kids, time and energy before/after work is pretty limited, my lunchtime is it for me.

I'm greatful that I have the encouragement at work to go and do it. It's very helpful.
