Hello MFP friends!
Okay here's the deal.....I have a really hard time with self control! For some reason I give in to temptation way to easily and can't say NO! If any of you have any suggestions or ideas on how to buckle down and get serious about not eating all the junk I eat, please share it with me! I need your tips and tricks! I don't know how many times I've said "okay, that's it no more!" until I turn the corner and there it is MORE!
Thanks for your help!
Rhonda

For me, if the food is in your house, throw it out. This helped tremendously for me because I have no choice but to eat the healthy foods I have in my house. It also forces me to cook more meals, but at least I am enjoying them :)
  • Sometimes I do too. I also try to not keep junk food in the house. At work if there's food/snacks sitting around I try to avoid, if possible, walking by them....take another route if you can.

Chewing a piece of gum works wonders for me. I try to keep junk food out of my house, but I can't control what other people have in their houses. So instead, I pop a piece of gum in and nahm on that. Keeps my fingers out of the candy corn dish when I visit my Mom's place.

Have you ever used that button that says "complete this entry" (I THINK that's what it says...) Well it tells you, "If every day were like today, you would weigh XX in 5 weeks." On days I've been good, it shows a beautiful low number and I imagine how happy I'll be in 5 weeks. Some days... I've been not so good. And it actually tells me that my weight will go UP! It's like a wake-up call. Makes me realize I will HAVE to change my ways if I want to keep shrinking!

Each time you think you'll just have a "little" more, think to yourself: which would you rather have, that extra food or a thinner, healthier, happier you. Remember: nothing tastes as good as thin feels!

    You can do this!
