Hi ..... 5'4" Female

Back in June I weighed 190 pounds. I dropped 7 pounds before someone emailed me MFP in July and since then I have had continued success. As of last Friday I hit my half way mark of 30 pounds lost. I still have 30 to 35 to go.

Up until this weekend I have felt healthier and lighted with the weight steadily dropping.

This weekend while standing at the sink I could feel the 30 pounds I still have left and the weight on my back. The same ole feeling of being overweight and my back hurting because of the extra weight I have on my frame.

Here's the question.......... Has my body adjusted to the weight loss causing me to feel heavy and fat? This is the only thing I can come up with that is logical.

Has anyone had a significant weight lost and still feel overweight because there was an adjustment by your body to the extra weight you are still trying to lose?

Thanks

I'm interested in what people have to say as well. I know for myself, sometimes I look in the mirror and and think I look great, feel great and am proud of what I have acomplished (down 55 lbs) sometimes all I can see/feel is how far I still have to go...

Some days I feel great other days I feel like I'm heavy all over again. I think when you feel like that u need to look at a pic before and current, it keeps me positive

Its completely mental. Stop focusing on what you have lost and focus on what you want to lose. If you have taken photos of your progress, put them all up on your mirror. Reminders are good, but not to focus on.

Hi Claire, are you just tracking your scale weight or scale weight and body fat percentage? Scale weight loss and fat loss aren't the same thing. Scale weight loss can be the result of losing both fat and lean body mass. Lower scale weight number, high body fat percentage.
