This alone should convince you....think about this....PEEING OUT YOUR BUTT.

But there's a support group , like what people dealing with addiction & tragedy go to. That alone almost makes me want to do one.

Have you read any of the science behind intermittent fasting? I really doubt it. It's not about weight loss, it's about your general health and boosting your metabolism.

Long term water fasts are basically starvation diets, which would be a bad thing. Intermittent fasting is not about that at all.

So I looked at your food diary. Unless you're not longing your food are you've got the flu you should probably start talking to a professional. You are not eating enough, and you are going to do some serious damage to your metabolism, organs, and brain. You NEED to eat more, and you should start talking to a therapist. I am a recovering anorexic, and I know the signs, therapy is going to do you a world of good.

THANKYOU for posting this!!! I am on an IF 16/8 fast right now and have lost FAT NOT muscle and I feel amazingly energetic as i still work out during my fast. If you have never tried it and do not do it properly is when you lose muscle or pass out, etc... I eat all my MFP goal cals in the 8 hour window. Some people do 18/6 fasts or 1 24 hour fast a week which you stop eating at 6pm and eat again the next day at 6 pm so you never go wihtout food.

Check this site out first then do a google search for Intermittant fasting and you will find nothing but amazing finds.

I think water fasts are similar to your current diet. Incredibly stupid. Especially since my guess is you're still in high school. Talk to some of the people that do intermittent fasting if you really feel like not eating.

I was part of a religion that required a lot of fasting and it was stupid. Not eating = stupid.

I seriously doubt hes being sarcastic. Hes on my friendslist... I am betting he was being serious.

Then again, I think you could say damn near anything and it would be a turnon.

Kind of like swearing in French. Still sexy. Dirty, nasty words, and sounds oh so hot.

Um, not good at all and I would never do one. Talk about screwing up the electrolytes in your body, the minerals (want bad, bad, bad muscle cramps?)

You'll get sick and sick quick. If you want to do a liquid diet, then do slimfast (although I disagree with the shake diets too, but at least give your body some vitamins and minerals)

me again - and not to mention a terrible blood sugar swing down to so low that it's unhealthy for your body and you won't bounce back well from it either. You lose water weight, but that's about it. You will be miserably sick if you mess with your blood sugar like that. And if you do go on a water fast, don't plan to do ANYTHING that day in a work out kind of way. You'll regret it.

A great way to lose muscle.

Very true. Check out all the damage intermittent fasting has done to the muscles of these poor people:

Don't they just look so weak, sickly and unhealthy? Nasty, I'd never want to look like them. Practically anorexic:

Fasting just destroys your muscles and puts you into starvation mode where you don't lose any fat:

Fasting is so bad for your health, too! Scientific studies have shown that over and over again, like these:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20300080

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16529878

    It wrecks blood sugar:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17522614
    _______________________________________________
    And it ruins your metabolism!

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10837292
    ____________________________________________________________
Also, you can't work out while you're fasting! That would be stupid.

Read a little before mouthing off about something you don't understand, and next time I won't have to science pwn you all this severely.
