I've lost lots of weight in the past only to regain it because of a "don't really give a hoot" attitude that keeps on resurfacing. I do pretty good after I've had 7 "good" days. I need lots of support and encouragement for 7 days. It seems if I can make it for 7 days, I can continue the diet with more success. I then begin to feel encouraged myself. Anyone out there?

My problem is snacks i seem to say oh this one will be ok and then have one every day, I know snacks are ok but I have the bad ones m& ms, licorice I cant seem to help myself, I try just to have a bad one on Fri as a treat but that never works. so I know what you are going through.

I am going to try taking what I want to eat ( my Meals ) and then take a 1 / 4 of it off . a little at a time as well as putting it on a smaller plate. And no SUGARY SNACKS for me. I will let you know if you want.

let me know how you are doing mabey just talking can help you

I really tend to crater at night - what kind of snacking do you suggest - I usually do better with meals only for the first 7 days.

I find, I'm really good all day, then comes the evening...sitting in front of the TV with the family, they eat, or I see tempting adverts, I end up going to the kitchen and grabbing a small slice of sponge cake with evaporated milk, or a cereal bar or the like.

So...today, I decided, Im going to change things up a bit, and instead of eating with everyone else, or when temptation strikes, Im gonna take up the old knitting again - give my fingers something to do.
I lost 3lbs last week, then, at the weekend I put 2lbs back on, so whilst I'm a pound lighter, knowing I would have been 3lbs lighter makes me feel like kicking my own butt! :grumble:

Good luck in your weight loss journey - we're all here for support and motivation :flowerforyou:

My motto is if I want to eat something that will take me over my calories  for the day I make a pact that I WILL do excercises to work it off , if I dont want to :grumble: excersise then I can't have the treat plain and simple :noway: .
Have you tried "Chromium" for those SWEET  cravings?, it works a treat.
Hope this helps a little...................................towards one of your 7 days :flowerforyou: :drinker:

Families are like fudge................mostly sweet, with a few nuts.
Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.
Laughing is good exercise........... It's like jogging on the inside.
