I am 23 years old and i cant seem to keep my weight off. i dont feel the support. my mom introduced me to this site and yet i feel she is excelling and im being left behind. i dont want to knock my moms success i am so proud of her. I just feel left out. i need a place to vent a bit and i dont want to hurt anyone (i.e my mom) by venting on her. i dont think its her burden or knock her off the great work she is doing. anyone want to help me?
I need workouts i can do without my feet. i hurt my ankle about 6 weeks ago and am not able to work. but i want to work out and i cant seem to figure out a good routine. if anyone can help i want your help and i need your help so much
thank you
Ally

Try doing upper body workouts, weights you can do while sitting down or laying down, or try doing punches. It's a great way to get your heart rate up but it's low impact on your lower body.0

I live and die by the kettlebell....most you can buy from Walmart for ten bucks and they come with a workout DVD....allmost all upper body and it burns fat fast!0

You could try swimming and def still work out your upper body and core. ie you can do crunches, sit up, push ups etc, prone holds and if you are a gym member then weights at gym. def dont give up
I have ankle probs from running and aerobics and find I am still okay on the bike or rowing machine - but yours maybe worse than mine.
hang in there you can do it! feel free to add me if you want some motivation0 -
Feel free to friend me.. Dance in a chair... Work your arms and wiggle your body like mad... You can make you heart beat go up without ever being on your feet... You can do this.. Feel free to message me anytime to vent We are all on the journey for a healthier self.. One step and one day at a time

shadow boxing. you'll sweat so much. It'll really get your heart rate up. maybe add 1-2 lb hand weights
it's really good cardio0 -
to be honest dear i dont know what shadow boxing is nor how to do it lol0

Try a weighted ball (medicine ball) and do side twists (fun to do with a friend as well, passing the ball back and forth while your back to back). Raising your arms above your head always increases the heart rate, so maybe incorportate weight training with light weights doing arm/shoulder/chest exercises. Knee pushups are great as well. Hope your ankle feels better soon! :flowerforyou:0
