I have started and stopped eating right and working out too many times to count. I could blame it on my sister's soul food but I would be wrong  . I don't do the right think primarily because I'm lazy and tired from raising my son and going to school. I have stuck with it for the last week and a half and I feel great. I'm glad I found this website to put me in contact with others like myself.

You two ladies can do it. It is about making your mind up and then following through. Once you have that resolve, you can do anything. :)
  • Just take it one day at a time, if you have a bad day just make the next one better. Not a race you will get there.

this site has been wonderful for me, too. from being careful not to go over my calories, i have seen inches lost and pounds lost... not much, mind you. i can get on the scale for three weeks and it won't move...... but i realized...... i'm sweating and sore and loving it! i feel so much better. i catch myself thinking, "i'm full. i don't want to finish this portion." i'm more aware of what i'm putting into my body and i really do feel better for it. and mostly........ i'm not putting them (inches or pounds) back on!

yep, i, who have fallen into fad diets, starvation, binging, ridiculous ideas milled to the masses... i'm not one of those folks that is 110 pounds and complaining about three pounds on my thighs. i'm 5'1", mom of two, just graduated from school ( i've went full-time for three years straight), i work two jobs..... blah, blah..... but i'm doing it.

i have had my days where i went over calories and i don't feel bad for it. we're women and we can say "whatever" to the calorie-monster when we need a piece of chocolate. i had to get over thinking it would happen overnight. i busted my tail for a month eating right, consuming lots of water and no junk, and exercise diligently to see not one pound lost. yes, it literally took this to get myself over that belief. since then, i don't think about it anymore. i just do what makes me happy and keep up with my calories. that's all you have to do. keep yourself aware of what you're doing, use this site for the assurance of accountability, and get out there and live. you'll do fine. we're here to support you.

I'm the same way, I'm good at losing weight and taking it back off, but not keeping it off.
