Okay first I will admit I am what you could call a "Scale Junkie" I weigh myself about every day but only log it, once a week. But I noticed I've been doing everything right and being very strict about my diet and what I eat.. yet the scale went up a lb from yesterday!? Why and how is this happening? is it normal? is there anything I can do to fix it? thanks for all your help!! )

Its a normal fluctuation. If you're still up on your usual weigh day you can have a look over the past week and see what, if anything, you could have done better.0

A pound isn't much. It could be water, easily. It could also be that you have poop in you that'll come out and it will go down, lol. Funny, but true.0

I hadn't lost a pound since 10/07. I had actually went up a couple during that time. My elliptical machine did die which didn't help any, but i still stuck to my eating habits. I finally had a breakthrough this morning. I had plateaued hard. I just kept plugging along until i broke on through.0

Wow! I have to say I admire your determination to stick with it. I have been travelling up and down the same half stone for over a year now. Friends have said to me that they would have given up by now. But I can't give up because the only alternative is to go back to where I was and that ain't happening. Na uh no way
Sorry to hijack your thread lovey. I'll stop now :flowerforyou:0 -
Stick with it. I am a scale junkie too! I only worry about the official weigh in. I know that certain times of the month I will be heavier. I also know that if I have more salt the day before I will be heavier in the morning. I try to do really low sodium on the day before weigh in. Keep with it and you will succeed!0
