TOM after being sick-ladies and/or health professionals!
First and foremost, I am NOT pregnant. Not even concerned about that.
Right after my last period I was hospitalized for 3 days for meningitis. I was on all sorts of antibiotics before they determined it wasn't bacterial and I was released. I've been generally healthy again for about 3 weeks.
I usually start on the Tuesday closest to the 20th. Again, no concern this month that I might be pregnant so when I didn't get it last week I figured I wasn't supposed to until this week. When I didn't get it yesterday, I did the math and realized I SHOULD have gotten it LAST week.
They also started me on iron supplements while I was in the hospital.
So, I mostly want to know if this is normal/ok after being sick. Should I expect to get it at all this month? Do I need to be worried that there is something else wrong?
Oh, also they did an ultrasound at the hospital (since my iron was so low) and they said everything was normal.
Thanks

I have no idea, but if it were me I'd call my GYN and ask that question.0

You should probably consult your doctor and not the boards. :flowerforyou:0

Never hurts to talk to your doctor. In my own personal experience though- I got sick with mono, and after that whole ordeal I skipped a month. I did talk to my dr, and he told me that it was normal due to the illness I had. Again, better safe then sorry- just check in with your dr.0

I'm not a doctor, but I play one on MFP.0

I would assume that your being sick may have caused you to ovulate later than normal, which would cause you to be late. That's just a theory though. I would put a call in to your nurse and see what she has to say.0
