Everyone,

I would like to put out an open challenge for anyone who is interested. I am putting the challenge out here early to give people plenty of time to think about it, and opt in if they are interested.

The challenge is simple:
- Through whatever means you want, burn 100,000 calories in exercise during 2012.

The only limit on this is it must be intentional exercise calories - not "extra" calories burned through daily activities. Shopping does not count, household chores do not count, etc. This is to keep people focused on exercising specifically for themselves and their health - and on developing long term habits.

This is an average of just under 300 calories a day, so this is doable by just about anyone. Let me know if you are interested. I will track it by spreadsheet and post regular updates throughout the year.

Group will remain open so anyone can join anytime during the year. Tracking starts 1/1/2012, and ends 12/31/2012 (or 12/21/2012 if the Mayans are right  )

I'll put you down, and I'll put up a tracking post just before the new year.

Thanks, this will be a little adventurous for me as I usually average about 150-200 per day in calories burnt. Should be interesting. Hope we get more people sign up.

Since we are so light on signups, I will save this and repost it closer to the start of the year.
