Returning Member - Need Low GI help

hey folks. I lost 50lbs last time I was consistent with MFP but I hit a super long plateau and gave up (story of my life!) Anyway, my doctor just put me on metformin for PCOS and wants me to eat according to the glycemic index. Not necessarily dieting as I don't usually overeat, it's just WHAT I eat that my body can't handle. I did a google search for some websites and information but would love if any of the Glycemic Index pros around here could point me to their favorite resources so I can learn as much as possible about it. It's so hard to keep my mind straight knowing that Low GI doesn't necessarily mean low carb but just nixing the simple/refined sugars. Thanks for the information in advance folks!
