Surviving Night Shift

I've been a stay at home mom for a while, so I'm able to cook my own food and eat when I'm hungry etc. I'm starting a new job and am trying to decide the best way for me to eat well at work.

I'll be working evening shifts (they should run 5pm-9pm). I don't think I'll have a "lunch break" since it's just a short shift. I plan on eating lunch and afternoon snack at normal times (so I'll eat a little snack on my way to work.) I don't like eating dinner at 9:30 or 10pm.

Anyone have any tips for surviving night shifts?

Maybe eat dinner at lunch. Choose nuts, fruits and yogurt for your snacks at work.

This is good. Also, try some nice, hearty protein shakes or smoothies for night time nutrition that won't weigh you down. i like to make mine with skim milk, frozen fruit, and, when i need more calories and protein, a carton of my favorite flavor yogurt. You can, of course, add anything you'd like. Peanut butter would be good for calories, protein, and a little bit of fat. If there is no where to keep it cold, try using one of those shaker bottles and you can mix up a shake with milk or water and protein powder right on the spot :)
