Ok, I know this is a little odd, but I told him I would help out. My boss is fixing to ask his girlfriend to marry him. He already has a cute way to give her the ring. He just isn't sure on what to say or how to go about getting TO the ring presentation.
He said they are going hiking up by where there is a lighthouse in our area, but is stumped as to what to say. He has prev been married and it wasn't good so he is sketchy about marriage again, but is doing the right thing and making it official. She is a great woman and he is funny as can be, they never have problems or anything. So, I would love any suggestions for anything different, romantic, and cute that you would like to offer for him.
Thanks all!

I'm not a romantic, but he should just say it. I'm sure a great panoramic shot with the lighthouse behind them would be memorable.

He should make a list of all the things he loves about her and read it to her.

Just be himself!! Don't try to be something else.
If he's quirky, show it. Goofy, do something goofy...
When my fiance proposed to me I have NO IDEA of what he said... but I remember everything else LOL
  • I want your face to be the last thing I see every night and the first thing I see every morning. I love you. Will you marry me? -- This of course is not how I actually did propose (yes I proposed). The REAL proposal went more like:

"I was thinking September 2nd 2000 would be a good day to get married because it'll be the 2 year anniversary of the day we met and it'll be a Labour Day Weekend so my family will be able to travel here for the wedding. Whatdya think?"

He said "Yeah, that'd be good."

    Ahhhh romance :)

When my husband proposed we were also hiking. He started casually talking about all of the fun things we had done together over the years. He then mentioned how we had the rest of our lives to add to those memories. Then he got down on one knee and asked if I would do him the honor of adding to those memories by marrying him. :)

Whatever he does, have someone (else) take pictures of it happening. PRICELESS.

For xmas my uncle "accidently" forgot his wifes gifts so he wrote her a poem instead. It was a really funny poem and it ended with "it's been a pleasure having you in my life and it would be my honor if you would be my wife". We all cried! They have the poem phramed in their house.

Carve it in a pumpkin or two and have it set out as they walk.... friend saw this done at an actual "Pumpkin Walk" and it was very romantic... luck!
