My base calories and calories earned

I am a little confused. When I exercise it says I have X amount of extra calories because I burned calories. So, if my daily amount allowed is 1200 and I exercise and earn 300 (which gives me a total of 1500 calories), does that mean I can eat an extra 300 calories and still lose weight? Or just eat the 1200 to lose weight.

you eat the extra calories b/c MFP is already shaving calories off your daily intake so you can lose weight... possibly 800 if you were using a 2000 calories diet.... 800 calories shaved off per day X 7 days - 5600 calories a week saved... so 2 lbs or so.

Apparently you can, but I'm never hungry enough to eat that many.

Yes, you're already eating less than before so you can lose weight, so you'll need to eat back your exercise calories so you're not under-eating.
  • i always thought you ate back the exercise calories too which I've been doing but I stuck to my calorie allowance for a couple of weeks and had ZERO results :(
