my exercise calories

I've read a number of posts about this and just don't have time to look for the answer to my question although I know it's out there. When should your exercise calories be used? I work out two nights a week and don't use them on those days because that many calories makes it hard to make it through a two hour class (required college course so has to be 2 hrs on the 2 nights). I know that if I don't eat them then I am putting myself in stavation mode but I get out of class after 9 so don't want to eat that late. Any ideas?

  • Why don't you want to eat that late? Your body doesn't just shut down

As long as you net 1200 calories, you should be fine. Also, it doesn't matter how late at night you eat...unless you're a gremlin.
  • Or if you really don't want to eat that late then plan ahead. If you know that you will be exercising and burning cals then eat more during the day
