You know...I've only been here a short while relatively speaking. And in that short time, I've really tried to avoid getting involved in the nastiness that can go on. I've tried to post things that will make people laugh or smile and I think, for the most part, I've succeeded. The fact that I now find myself debating whether or not to continue participating on the boards because some people have absolutely no sense of humor troubles me. We are all adults here...or at least we should be based on the rules set forth by the site. Therefore, I think it will be quite sometime before I post something other than a friggin' smiley face from now on.

Don't let the "nastiness" get you down. If you enjoy posting messages than continue to do so and if you want to take a break, take a break. I never post but I reply once in a while and that works for me, I don't like everyone knowing my business.

With whom are you debating? Yourself? I will not let others, especially those on an online site force me to have conversations with myself about whether or not I will continue to do the things that I want to do or like to do. So, how is your rant in one thread about some nonsense taking place in another thread(s) going to fix anything? Will it change the people on MFP? I think NOT!

Also, for some MORE perspective? I usually don't "request" people I don't know irl on here, unless they seem really cool and super sarcastic and FUNNY. I was definitely getting ready to FR you on up, though. This site is a microcosm of society at large (NO PUN INTENDED, STG), and there are SO many different types of people floating through here.
