Hi everyone I am a complete novice and have never changed my eating habits. Trying to change now with my hubby. Need to lose 8 stone ( a huge amount ). Used to be size 8 how i wish i could just get into size 14/16 now!!

The tools are great, especially the calorie counter. I have been here a week and have learned many things. I managed to lose 2 pounds and some inches on the waist and hips just by eating right and doing some daily walking.

Hi Andrea, and welcome to THE best site on the web!
Between the easy to use food counter (which by the way is SUCH an eye opener!) and all the wonderfully supportive members, you WILL be able to lose the weight that you want to, AND, it'll "almost" be easy doing it!
I recommend logging ALL your foods BEFORE you have them, rather than later, as it tends to lead to better food choices. (not to mention you'll know if you've got enough numbers left to have a night time snack, like I ALWAYS try to do!) Some people also like to weigh and measure some things, such as meats, rather than just estimating and possibly being WAY off!
Also, drink lots of water, that seems to help alot too. :drinker:
ps. I started here as a size 18, and am now in 8's and 10's, sooooo, it CAN be done!
Watch your numbers, get some exercise, and you TOO WILL be a size 8 again!0 -

Well, you are not the only one. We all trying one way or another.
I will highly recomend to add my greens in your meals (veg. and fruit). Also drink a lot of water and walk at least 30 minutes each day. I am doing some of that but my only problem now is the intaking (I like to eat a lot and not small amounts)... but with this website I lost my first 5 pounds in 3 weeks! So, If I could you can do it too!
Keep walking the good walk...
