Going back to meetings next week. I've gone up an down with my weight since I left because of binge episodes (now on the up side again =/). I'm wondering if anyone else on here goes to meetings? They're (the meetings) the main reason WW worked for me originally. As much as I have a great support group on here, it's a lot different when you have someone sitting in front of you to help you out and also tell you to get your **** straight.

Also, inb4WWbashing

Sounds like you just need to hold yourself accountable, IMHO.

I, obviously, think WW is purely unnecessary. BUT if it works for you, then go for it.

I agreee with McKay, but everybody has to find that tool that will get them to where they need to be. I'm not huge on spending money and wasting time on stuff that isnt either in the gym or healthy food; since thats all you need to get fit and healthy.

Find your tool, grasp it, use it, and make your goal, no matter what.

I loved WW and i love the meetings. I moved to a country where they don't have them or I would still be going.

Honestly I loved the cheerleading and group mentality

I personally love WW. I love the philosophy, I love that they don't calorie count so much (points take into effect your fibre ratio to fat and calories, a much more "big picture" view than just calories, and far FAR more holistic), and I also love the face-to-face support. My mum and I went, a couple of different times, for 12 weeks each time. i didn't lose a lot of weight doing it, but I sure lost a few dress sizes each time. I would personally be going to meetings a) if they weren't so expensive, and b) if they had one local to me that worked. (i have 3 under 6, and there are none except a saturday one, and my kids have swimming during it.)

AwesomeJobe, they have the online WW, which you don't get the face-to-face support (which i love), but you still get the plan and the points and everything. i was actually going to do that in conjunction with mfp after Christmas. :)

    good luck!

It's a waste of money for me, since I much prefer to count calories than to have convert calories to points. I found WW more complicated. I DID like the meetings, but if I didn't have the inner motivation to start with, I didn't go ton them, so they didn't work. Good luck to you though.
