Just thinking about it makes me want to club someone.

Seriously, search the forums. this has been thoroughly covered. There are very vocal pro and anti groups. I side with the latter so am probably not much help to you.

Have fun and beware the velociraptors.

I'm with Philip.. what makes you want to go by a textbook approach to eating? If our hunter-gatherer ancestors thrived off of this diet it was through a lack of over-consumption. As far as I understand, they went by these foods through necessity not choice but we as a species have evolved. Every food has a place in your diet and eliminating such a large group may do more harm than good. Our bodies are much smarter than we give them credit for.

And you think their shorter life expectancy was because of diet, rather than a lack of modern medicine, and a high percentage of infant mortality?
