Thought this was a very interesting article on how it's hard to keep weight off. What do you guys think?

Interesting but don't think we should all be worried. It makes sense that a 500-calorie/day diet would cause hormonal changes. I wonder why they gave them such an extremely low/unhealthy calorie intake? What about people who lose weight at a safe speed?0

Yeah, sure, if you go on a really restricted diet like that, you're more likely to gain the weight back because 1) you didn't learn how to eat properly for the long term and 2) you didn't learn how to deal with day to day temptations/challenges. I did the same thing for many years before I realized that I can't do restrictive diets (low cal, low fat, low carb) and stick with it long term becuase it gets boring and frustrating. One should think about getting healthy and think about long term changes.
It's no wonder the diet industry is making tens of millions of dollars in profits!
