I'm having a small problem.. I keep going over my protein goals and everything I have here that's low in protein, is also low in calories..meaning I'd have to eat a bunch of it to get close to my caloric goal.. and I'm wayyy under in my calories (and I think I've been under every day I've logged so far).
Are there any foods that have moderately high calories, and are low in protein..? or should I just eat this Butterfinger bar here that's been on my counter for 3 weeks straight that I've been saying no to since the day I bought it.. ?? Thanks!!
ps - I can open my diary if you all would like to analyze it.. thx..

If your protein goal is MFP set, by all means - go over it! The protein goal here is quite low.0

Reset your nutrient levels so your protein is higher. As previously stated MFP puts protein very low.0

protein shouldn't be an issue, unless it interferes with eating a different variety of foods.0

You WANT a lot of protein. I have friends who eat 450 grams of protein each day.0

Your diary shows 100 grams of protein.
You can easily eat 1g of protein per lb of body weight and have no problems.0 -
Your menu today looks fantastic. Like others said, up your protein goal to 100-150. It's totally safe and healthy (barring adverse medical conditions).0

Lots of protein is good for you, unless you have kidney or liver disease.0

Awesome..!! Thanks all... I changed the protein to 30% and I think that's something I can stick with and still get my calories in!!0

I always go over the protein and fiber that is set by MFP.0

I try to balance protein with whole grain carbs about 1/2 and 1/2 maybe slightly more protein. If I get too much of either one I'll gain so I tend to make each plate as close to 1/2 & 1/2 as possible.
You get protein not only from meat, but also from eating a big variety of vegetables.. veggies do contain protein but you need a variety of different things to maximize veggie protein.
Just like dairy has some protein but also has some carbs to it too.

you would have to probably double your body weight in protein in a day for it to actually be a problem. Equal to your weight in grams is a very reasonable amount, so unless you are really over that, I'd not worry about it.0
