Treadmills don't read my heart rate!!

Does anyone else have this problem, or am I the only weirdo with no heartbeat? The heart rate handle things on ellipticals and treadmills in my gym never register my heartbeat!!

My friends can all get them to work, so I don't think it's a problem with the machines... Plus, our gym was recently re-modeled, so everything in there is brand new and high tech. D

oes this happen to anyone else?? And does anyone know why it happens? It's super annoying... lol!!

    sweaty hands, or not gripping it with your palms on the metal part. That is usually the case for me.

    Try moistening your hands to get a better electrical contact.

    Hmm... I will try again next time, but even at the very beginning before I'm sweating it doesn't work... And I try my hands in all sorts of positions and angles... UGH! but thanks for the input. lol :)

    Oh believe me, I wish I could but they're a bit pricey!! Maybe once my husband lands a job we will be able to afford it, but for now it's not in the budget! Economy = suck
