It lasts as long as you break it by adjusting your calories or mixing up your workout routine0

Mine lasted between June and September this year. Very frustrating, but many people told me on here that I would be losing inches rather than pounds so it is still all good. The weight is now coming off slower than before. All I was told was to change my daily calorie intake and mix up the exercise a bit.0

I feel like I have been on this plateau for years....the last 20lbs are so stubborn0

Who knows. I posted about this too. I was 3/4 weeks without a twitch on the scales. Then this week it dropped a lb, not much but I was dis-proportionately happy about it. The inches have been coming off my waist though.
The best advise I got is 'our bodies are just plain weird'.
Mix it up a bit but don't give up. Eventually the cals in / cals out thing will kick in again.
Keep the faith.

Gets ridiculously difficulty to get to 4-6% bodyfat, your body refuse to stay that lean0 -
A friend of mine decided that getting to that sort-of fat percentage (to have abs) wasn't worth it .. and he's very active and fit.
It might be worth digging up some scientific literature as to why this happens .. I'll have a looksie. There seems to be a lot of conflicting information, both here and on the internet in general.0 -
Hi! The same thing happened to me - trying to lose that last 20 lbs... was on 1200 calories since May but everyone suggested upping them a bit. So, I set my goal to only 1/2 lb per week and it gave me 1340 cals per day. I've been staying around that almost every day and have been trying to eat back at least 1/2 my exercise calories. I'm not so hungry either. Zig-zagging also works (where you have a day or two under then up it again) but I think I finally broke the plateau! My body is liking the extra food and so far it's been 1/2 lb one week, minus 1 lb the next week then another lb. So... good luck and make sure you measure because I also kept losing inches! It helps to see so you won't get frustrated, it's easy to do. You can do it - just keep exercising and eating clean and it'll pay off!!!0

i'm sure you're not on a real plateau. its just in your head. go to settings and "adjust fitness profile" and readjust your calories for what you've already lost. i think 1200 calories is waaaaaaay too little for most women to eat, especially if you are working out. i bet you would do a lot better with about 1400-1600 calories. maybe you're thinking that you want to lose more then a pound a week, but if you've been on this "plateau" for a month, shouldn't you try changing something?? idk if you re-eat all your exercise calories or not, but you should at least go half way into them. i usually have a post work out fruit smoothie with some protein powder to tap into those extra caloires.
also, change up your work out. idk what you're doing now, but change it. stop going to that same class like clockwork, or doing that same run, or time on the elliptical. whatever it is, change it. and start doing weights in a nice circuit training. i'll send you some links if you want. PM me.0 -
A wise person once said - if you keep doing the same thing you can expect the same results.....
The others here are right - change things up - change your food groups - lean more to Protein, drink twice as much water, drop the carbs and fat, and ramp up your exercise by an extra 30 mins walking a day and you'll get over this hump.

I work out daily. Recently experienced a plateau that lasted almost 3 months. The one thing that responded was changing my workout routine and adding additional calories.
I dropped 2 pounds and the scale is moving again. The inches never stopped. Perhaps all of you should be taking measurements to help with your frustration. It helped to keep me motivated when the scale was not cooperating.
Our bodies need a constant confusion. When we have "routine".... the loss will stop.
Good luck!0 -
I work out a lot more when I plateau to get the scale to move. Cutting out alcohol helps it move, but very difficult to do on the weekends:)0

Im stuck as well, only a week though. BUT I have never seen my legs so lean an thin....thin for me! I tend to have big quads as I have been a soccer player my whole life. Soccer is done a year and a half ago and Jillian Michaels has shaped my legs beautifully! Just changed up my workouts yesterday and upped my cal intake, we will see if the 7 pounds I want GONE will start shedding once again.0
