I have been doing this for 3.5 weeks and lost 22lbs. Granted I was 232 and 5'3". I hear the bigger you are the faster you lose in the beginning. I have been eating 1,200 calories and excercising 30 min 3 nights a week then doing a low impact strength training or wii fit on the other days. Due to the fact that I can only excercise after 8:00 PM and I go to bed at 11:00pm I do not eat my excercise calories. I know that it isn't suggested but my doctor has said it is fine.

i have just really cut back on my portion sizes i NEVER drink water since joining the site ihave lost 7 pounds 11 since starting the diet and i have only had 2 count them 2 bottles of water in that time i cant stand the taste of the stuff not even the flavored one it all taste like radishes to me and i hate radishes but i live on diet dr pepper
Water is really really important for so many reasons for our body to remain healthy. Perhaps consider bumpin up to several more glasses a day? Oh it is certainly possible to lose weight without drinking water but why take that chance of dehydrating the body without drinking enough.:noway:

Lots of great water articles in the archives:flowerforyou:

FC said it the nice way....good for her...I wish I could be so nice
drinking soda, diet or any kind instead of water is really really unhealthy. If you were my sister I would really jump into this...please just try cutting back on the Dr Pepper and have some water...you will truly be amazed how much better you feel

I had the same thing happen after a few weeks... then boom, it started dropping off again.

When you do exercise, are you in fat burning heart rate range? My heart rate went way down after about 2 weeks of walking, and if I hadn't dramatically increased the tempo I wouldn't have been burning fat.

You may not be eating enough (don't let your body go into starvation mode) and so your body is holding onto fat.

Use the measuring tape, not the scale. Keep the scale out of sight till the end of the month.

Get a CBC done, make sure there aren't health issues that interfere with weight loss, even something simple.

The larger you are, the easier it is to lose. But if you are just overweight, and have 20 pounds to lose, it will be much more difficult. If you weigh 360 pounds and have 200 to lose, the beginning will be easier.

All I eat is fruits and veggies.. i don't eat fast food or sweets and i only drink about 8-10 glasses of water.... i do exercise and burn 400 calories + about 5xs a week.... i just was asking about the fiber intake because i don't seem to have a BM as often as I used to.. what can i do to help with that??
Many fruits and veggies have lots of water in them, so it seems you're getting plenty in, thought working out each day you body would love to be getting extra before, during and after workouts:flowerforyou:

Do you prefer only eating fruits and veggies, I mean is their a reason for that? Whole grains can help be a terrific source of fiber unless you need to stay away from them because of Celiac D or something? How about proteins? Or are you getting in lots of dark greens to cover that, also fats of the healthy sort are good for ridding our bodies of the foods we take in. almonds, things that way perhaps appeal to you?

Just getting a bit more background is all:flowerforyou:
