I have a new kettlebell that came with a DVD to workout. How should I log a kettlebell workout? I looked in the data base and don't see anything similar to it.

i do the jillian micheals kettlebell dvd (shred it with weights) and i log it in as CIRCUIT TRAINING. Since she incorporates cardio and weights (kettlebell)

I always put it under cardio/circuit training. Thing is, since I got my heart rate moniter - I found that the database is only semi accurate. Sometimes, If I go running first, the kettlebell workout burns more calories - if I just start out cold - it burns way less than it gives me credit for.

Purchasing a HRM is the way to go.

I do Kettleworks, and I log it as Aerobics, general. Love my Kettlebell I have really noticed muscle definition coming through.

I do kettlebells 3-4 times a week. HIghly recommend the heart rate monitor. Our workouts vary between 300-500 calories for a 45 minute bootcamp.

So do you think I should do something like jump rope or walk before doing the DVD?

I think a good 20 min jog or brisk walk to get warm and your heart rate up increases my burn when I do strength training directly after. Just me though. =)
