Hey guys. Does anyone have a new excercise routine that works? I need to switch up my routines in order to start losing more. I found out that your body starts to get used to a workout after about 2 weeks. So in order to keep losing the weight, changing a routine makes the difference. Any suggestions?

Excuse me but how do you know you have reached a plateau after 2 weeks? You don't associate DOMS with progress do you?
As for workouts, you should be focusing on compound exercises whether you are a lady or a man, it will keep you busy for months before you need to start adjusting your workouts.

I like Cathe Friedrich videos. They have them on amazon and collagevideo.com. They are way harder than the beach body videos imo!

Increase the intensity. If you're running, run faster. If you're lifting, lift heavier. This is nothing "new". It's old, tried, and true.
  • I like to jumprope alternating legs with HIIT.

I've been using a Workout of the Day (WOD) Generator... you pick the category or type of exercises you'd like to do and it randomly generates a workout for you... www.wodshop.org

I generally do 3 spin classes a week, then 2 WOD on alternate days... I'm really liking it!! It's based on crossfit exercises and routines, but I modify it to my abilities and equipment availabilities.

Your body getting used to a workout specifically any kind of weight resistance workout is a complete myth. So long as you are effectively activating the muscle you are trying to from workout to workout results will not be cut short because you're performing the same exercises. Thats in reference to resistance training, and if you are talking about cardio well how can your body adapt to burning calories since that's all cardio really is. It's a tool used to ensure you are putting yourself into a caloric deficit. I believe people only say your body adjust because your mind adjusts and once you become bored with performing the same repetitive workouts you will lose interest quicker switching things up sheds new light on workouts and helps you stay excited.

    Jump rope while shake weighting!
  • I just finished P90X this month and just started that Turbo Fire/Chalean Hybrid schedule. It is weight lifting until fatigue with heavy weights and cardio. So far so good. It is not to hard and not to easy. I am already seeing results in my arms quicker then p90x. It workouts are about 30-40 min a day.
