Okay so I was just wondering something, Does it matter if you eat the same food everyday. Mainly for lunch and breakfast I eat the same things
breakfast is 2 egg whites and slice whole wheat bread
lunch is side salad with lettuce tomato and cucumber with light rasberry vin and cup of nonfat yogurt with strawberries or bananas

Maybe a stupid question but just wondering if it matters or not thanks:flowerforyou:

I have never read anywhere that it will matter nutritionally, just psychologically I think (of course that is just my opinion) other than you personally becoming bored with it, and then eventually becoming bored with the whole weight lose thing because you don't have variety and giving up.

In the cave man days, they ate meat and vegetables all day every day no grocery store shelves to chose from then. As long as the food you are eating is nutritionally sound I wouldn't think it would matter.

I don't think it matters but I'm not sure how long you can keep that up before going a little crazy
  • I don't think it matters, if you like it and its healthy...Great! I would reccommend taking a vitamin during the day although I am bad at doing this myself. I generally tend to stick to similar breakfasts, lunches, and dinners throughout the week too. I think your just fine!

The only way it would matter is nutritionally. For example- strawberries are great for you, but if you always eat them and never try say- bananas or oranges or watermelon or pomegranate instead you are missing out on some things that strawberries just don't have. Same with all other possible food substitutions. Plus I do think you'll get bored of it. :flowerforyou: But when you do you can always make slight changes to perk things up.

If you eat the same thing everyday you won't get any nutrients that are lacking in the food you are eating. For breakfast I would go ahead and eat 2 whole eggs, there is a ton of nutrients in the yolk and it has been proven that eggs aren't bad for your heart. Then for lunch if you want to have a salad that's fine, but you could add some extra veggies, maybe some raw spinach and some carrots, then throw on some protien like some diced ham, turkey, chicken or tuna. Yogurt is okay for protien, but it also has a lot of carbs, which looking at the rest of the food you are eating you could probably use a stronger protien food. You want to make sure you are getting enough calories through out the day and satisfying your hunger, otherwise in the evening you will tend to over eat.

    Good luck.
