Self Tanners?

So now that fall/winter has come in lovely Ohio, my legs are extra pasty white. I'd like to be a little more confident and get some "sun" on them. However, I do not believe in tanning beds.

Does anyone have recommendations for good self tanners? I've never used any!

Go to a spray tan booth. I wouldn't trust that stuff in a bottle. And make sure you exfoliate lots before you go!!! I also like sally hanson spray on legs for when I have to wear a skirt and I'm not feeling tanned enough. Covers spider veins too. Washes off though after one shower. For longer term the spray tan booth is the way to go!!!

I use Banana Boat medium or dark or Nutrogena foam... both give very realistic color. I've been using them for years.
  • Xen-Tan makes amazing self tanners!! They have olive undertones so they don't turn you orange, and they have a vanilla scent, so you don't stink!! Clarins is another good brand, but Xen-Tan is my personal fave!
  • I'm from Ohio, too! I don't go to the tanning bed, either, so I use Neutrogena Build-A-Tan. I use is 3-4 times a week and it's really amazing. It gives you that "tan" that you want, but it's a very subtle tan and it gives you a fantastic glow! Also, it's amazing for helping to cover up stretch marks (the tanning bed actually makes them more visible) and reducing the appearance of cellulite. I hope this helps! Best of luck to you dear!!

Mystic tan at the tanning salon is definitely the best way to go. It can get a little expensive so I've tried a lot of self tanners. The best I've found are Million Dollar Tan, Sun Labs, and Xen Tan. You definitely have to practice getting the coverage right, I still mess up my hands all the time lol. But you'll get used to it.

I used to be a tanning addict. For real, I went tanning almost daily all winter long :/ Eventually, I got freaked out about skin cancer, disliked being orange & finally had a panic attack in a tanning bed. It's been 5 years since I indoor tanned.

However, I do still like having color in the off season (I live in Massachusetts). I love Sephora's spray tan, it's reasonably priced and works really well. I also use Xen-Tan & I've used one from Bath & Body Works.

I'd suggest getting one that has a darker color when you put it on so you can make sure you're not missing any spots. It looks so icky when you have an uneven tan, lol.

I usually find it at amazon.com. I know they have a website but I'm not sure what it is. I'm sure you can find it on ebay or google it or something. Good luck!

I suggest to use the self tanner by Bliss or by Fake Bake. Both are not orange at all and are the most natural looking self tanners. Trust me.... I have tried them all and these are by far the best looking!!! Keep moisturing through the week to make it look fresh and last as long as possible!

I highly recommend Banana Boat although it might rub off in certain areas ^^

I also recommend Fake Bake (the original). It is more expensive, but doesn't rub off hardly at all and it fades out :)
